Blechexpo/Schweisstec: Best Industry Highlight Taking Place from 21 to 24 October, 2025

In roughly one and a half years – from 21 to 24 October 2025 – experts in the field of sheet metal working and joining technology will meet at the 17th Blechexpo international trade fair for sheet metal working in combination with the 10th Schweisstec international trade fair for joining technology. Preparations have begun for the industry highlight in Stuttgart – exhibitors can still book their preferred booth locations up through 31 March 2024.

The now traditional Blechexpo/Schweisstec trade fair duo will present modern, forward-looking sheet metal processing and showcase entire process sequences. Global players come together once every two years at this expert meet, which generates great interest amongst all participants. In the fall of 2023, 1256 exhibitors from 38 countries celebrated an inspiring trade fair in nine fully booked halls over four days with a world-class, jam-packed supplementary program. The presentation of the “best Award” was one of the highlights, which will be conferred again in 2025 as a valuable innovation driver. Most exhibitors booked again immediately after the event. “The re-booking deadline is 31 March 2024, which is around four weeks away,” says Georg Knauer, project manager at trade fair promoters P. E. Schall. “Previously occupied booth locations can be booked again until then. An opportunity that should be taken advantage of,” says Knauer.

Once every two years, the Blechexpo/Schweisstec double header presents numerous topics covering all aspects of thermal and mechanical sheet metal processing, along with system peripherals including controllers and software, as well as solutions for handling and quality assurance. With its cutting-edge technologies, the trade fair impressively reflects the industry sector’s performance capabilities. Blechexpo/Schweisstec has established itself as an important leading trade fair and a valuable business platform for many companies. Expert visitors hold its concise, practice-oriented presentation of the targeted issues in high esteem. The clear-cut layout of the exhibition halls has proven its worth and will be implemented again in 2025: sheet metal, pipe and profile processing will be located in halls 1, 3, 5 and 9. Halls 4 and 6 are reserved for stamping technologies. Cutting, joining and fastening technologies will be presented in hall 7. Hall 8 will focus on pressing and forming technologies. Finally, the issues of steel and metal services, as well as surface finishing technology, will be addressed in hall 10.

The sheet metal working industry is currently facing major challenges – including energy efficiency, the conservation of resources and cost-effectiveness. Attention is being focused on the topics of digitalisation and automation in order to optimally organise processes and compensate for the shortage of qualified personnel. Numerous positive exhibitor testimonials from 2023 are proof that Blechexpo/Schweisstec is widely established and highly regarded as a business and communication platform. Ekkehard Fluck, head of sales for optical inspection in stamping at Jenoptik, said at Blechexpo/Schweisstec: “This is the place to be. It’s a very important place. I tell our customers all over the world: Be sure to visit us here!” Ulrich Peitzmeier from Peitzmeier Maschinenbau is also convinced by this platform: “Blechexpo/Schweisstec is a very good trade fair for reaching an international audience.” This is confirmed by Claudia Robineau, managing director at Voestalpine Camtec: “We’ve been appearing at Blechexpo/Schweisstec for years. It’s always a good opportunity for introducing our customers to our innovations.” Björn Erik Mai, co-founder and managing director of Senodis Technologies, is in full agreement with this view: “Blechexpo/Schweisstec is a great opportunity for presenting our company, because it brings all the industry players together.” Last but not least, Tommaso Bonuzzi, sales manager of the Salvagnini Group, also draws a positive conclusion: “It has once again been confirmed that the Blechexpo trade fair is one of the most important events for Salvagnini anywhere in the world, and we’ll be there again next time round.”

The clear-cut thematic structure, a concisely organised hall layout and inspiring topics for an attractive and differentiated supplementary program will also distinguish Blechexpo/Schweisstec 2025. Technological highlights and future-oriented solutions are expected, as well as a full house in Stuttgart with high levels of international participation amounting to about 45%. The topics covered by Blechexpo/Schweisstec are communicated worldwide and have a global impact. Many companies are facing the same challenges because they all have to secure their future viability and competitiveness. “Further automation, above all in the periphery, higher levels of productivity, improved parts quality, the avoidance of rejects, energy savings, compensation for the shortage of qualified personnel, employee safety and customer service are issues that affect all companies,” says Knauer. “And Blechexpo/Schweisstec 2025 will thus play a key role in supporting the industry on the path to greater sustainability.”
